What was I thinking... Oh, I dunno! I guess I was hoping for something special and quick. I'm exploring my neighborhood! I walked in and was greeted right away. I took a menu and walked to the buffet line to take a peek. Hrm. It looked a bit bare. Fried stuffs, noodles and rice. I didn't notice very many veggie dishes. They had a salad. There were a lot flies. Buffet = out. Thankfully, the menu had a variety of Chinese and Vietnamese dishes. What stood out was the Bird Nest entree- a favorite Chinese dish of mine! It's basically a bird nest shaped bowl (made from fried noodles. It's not a real bird nest) filled with assorted veggies, chicken and shrimp. The lady at the front desk asked me a few questions about my heritage and was very nice. She included rice with my meal. I waited 10 mins and walked out with my food. Cost was about 12 bucks. Verdict? The "bird nest" was put in a separate container so that the texture would remain crispy on the ride home. The meat and veggie portion was warm. The sauce was boring! It wasn't very flavorful and the color looked more like a mashed potato gravy. There were only a few pieces of shrimp. More veggies than protein. The portion was large and could easily feed 3 people, but I'm probably not going to order this dish again.

For those of you who miss king wah that closed on air depot. This place belongs to the brother. Egg rolls, soup and Orange (duck) sauce are the same. Also the butterfly shrimp was amazing as well. My only real problem with this meal was the red sweet and sour sauce he should steal his brothers. I will be back....

Fried chicken is bomb - and sweet and sour chicken. Love the entire buffet... awesome shrimp... salad bar (just missing croutons, but they have crackers) is great... there is fruit (pineapple, cantaloupe, watermelon..). Staff is very nice... always keep the water filled. This place is the best!

My review is strictly for carry out in the evening. I have to disclose that I do not like buffets or cafeterias. The idea that I should wade in to food that I don't know how long it has been sitting there, constantly heated, and who knows you fingers have been inserted is not for me. I also had a lunch take out once and my suspicion is that it came from the buffet. But if the idea is to get a quickie take out I like this place. When they say ten minutes that is usually when to get there depending on what you order. If you get an entree like Kung Pao expect to have enough food for a large lunch the next day. The shrimp with lemon grass and vermicelli is very good, and the soups pretty good. They do a very good black bean sauce also. So if you are like me, self employed and working into the night and too tired to cook, then Kim Wah carry out is fast, clean, and a cut above a place like Great Wall.

This used to be my favorite buffet. Actually had Vietnamese food on the buffet and served fish sauce for the spring rolls. Good quality. Unfortunately one trip I found a baby roach in my water glass...now I didn't havea problem with that....every restaraunt is going to have that occasionaly but the treatment of the incident by the staff and management was sub-par. I will not return due to that. Bummer.

I don't have anything especially good or especially bad to say about this place That's incredibly unusual for me. We've been twice. They stay open until 10, and a lot of buffets don't. I like their little vermicelli bowls, but order a fresh one, because the ones on the buffet are sitting off to the side. Their crab Rangoon is on the sweet side, that always weirds me out... not sure why some places put sugar in a crab Rangoon. I think I'll try some of their menu items sometime. Just wanted to say I've been here, and that it's pretty good.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
